Nowadays, I’ve been traveling loads and I never spend enough time taking care of my skin – at least not as much as I would like to be. In an attempt to rectify this wrong, I decided to buy a 100 % Natural Calcium Bentonite Clay Mask. Make up artists are always raving about its benefits “Omg, you must use Clay Masks, its so natural, sooo puurfect”. So, after asking around a little, someone told me to try this Indian Healing Clay Mask.
Basically, all you have to do is mix the powder with the water and make your own little mask. Simple no? Not really. If I’m being honest, I have to admit that I messed up big time – I ended up wasting an entire evening! I had to search my whole apartment to find a plastic cup and a plastic spoon/fork (You cannot use anything with metal) and struggled to mix the right amount of water with the right amount of powder (You gotta get it just right). A simple task turned out to be a nightmare: My house looked like a war zone, my sink was blocked and I looked like an alien from out of space. (I opted not to post a picture, I didn’t want to scare y’all)
However, IF you do get the right mix, this mask IS actually perfect. After you wash it off, your skin will feel as good as new. I suggest that you give it a try and sooner or later you’ll get the hang of it. As they say in French, “il faut souffrir pour être belle“. (Literally means, “You must suffer to be beautiful”)
OR If you can’t be bothered to do that, try getting a pre-mixed clay mask – Make sure that no chemicals were added to it.
– May the forces be with you –
