TV Film – The Girl (2012)

Out of all the films and movies about Hitchcock this previous year, The Girl was my favorite mainly because of the performance of the actors and due to its not-so-cliché script.

Toby Jones. His performance is really worth mentioning. He plays a much more convincing Hitchcock than Anthony Hopkins does in “Hitchcock”, the movie with Dame Helen Mirren.

“Blondes make the best victims. They’re like virgin snow that shows up the bloody footprints.” (Hitchcock)

Sienna Miller. Gorgeous woman, found her niche market by selecting roles that require her to play the beautiful but vulnerable & unstable girl. In this film, I liked her American accent and the way that she portrays Tippi Hedren and the challenges that she had to face while filming The Birds in 1963.  If you like Sienna, you can also watch Alfie (2004) – Where I first discovered/fell in love with her and Factory Girl (2006).
