Cat on a hot tin roof is one of my favorite plays by Tennessee Willams. (Amongst: A Streetcar Named Desire and The Glass Menagerie.) I adored the movie adaptation of Cat on a hot tin roof directed by Richard Brooks (Usually, I always prefer the books). I was mesmerized by the performance of (Queen) Elizabeth Taylor as Maggie Pollitt and (Semi-God) Paul Newman as Brick Pollitt. (Both part of my favorite-actors-of-all-time list!) Along with pretty much everyone else from the cast (Behold, some of the best acting this world has ever seen!)
At the moment, you can also watch it on Broadway with Scarlett Johansson. You can tell she worked very hard, however, seeing her on stage is not my cup of tea; I would much rather watch her on the silver screen. (She does look great though). Ciaran Hinds‘ performance was good as Big Daddy Pollitt. But, I would actually really secretly watch it to catch a glimpse of Benjamin Walker‘s steamy body (YuMmAy!) – No joke!
